Workshop "AI for Science and Innovation"

NPDS_Lab members, together with the AXES Research Unit, organized the workshop AI for Science and Innovation, April 8-9, 2026. The two-day event at IMT Lucca gathered scholars, postdoctoral researchers, and doctoral candidates around three themes: AI and R&D Dynamics; AI-Enabled Developments in Scientific Research; AI and Organisational Change in Research Settings. NPDS_Lab organised a special session at the R&D Management Conference 2026 entitled "NPD in an Uncertain World: Emerging Tools, Methods, and Approaches". The New Product Development and Strategy Lab has been formally established at Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca. The lab brings together researchers from Italian and European universities to study how organizations design, develop, and scale new products.
